Schlitterbahn Water Park in Texas

Schlitterbahn Water parks are family-owned and run parks in the United States. The company is based in New Braunfels, Texas. Schlitterbahn opened its first park in 1979 and has opened three more water parks in Texas, Kansas City, Kansas. The Waterparks are seasonal and which operate from April to September.

The latest Schlitterbahn waterpark, Galveston Island Water Park, opened in 2006 and has a convertible area that can open and close making the park an outdoor /indoor park that can operate all year round. This is the only waterpark of its kind in the world.

  • Bahnzai Pipeline - These are two water flumes that have turning and twisting tunnels that terminate in a splash pool
  • The Dragon Blaster – The Dragon Blaster offers visitors an exciting 20-foot drop followed by massive water jets that push riders through turns and twists, drops, and ends in a breath-taking plunge.
  • Cliffhanger Speed Slides – Cliffhanger is an 81 foot fall from a tower with a huge pool of water.
  • Loopy Luge Tube Chutes – This is an all year round tube experience with sharp curves and thrilling sudden drops.
